Abstract:—The Puya (Bromeliaceae) species in Argentina. Eighteen species are described and illustrated, two of them for the first time: P. novarae Varadarajan ex Gómez Romero & A. Grau and P. vervoorstii Gómez Romero & Grau. Two keys for identifying the species are presented, one of them based entirely on vegetative characters.
