Abstract:—Illustrated glossary and identification key for the Bromeliaceae of Mérida State, Venezuela. In this article a terminological tool is introduced to facilitate working with Bromeliaceae and the key of Mérida State species is given. Due to this, terms used and adapted exclusively for Bromeliaceae have been included along with terms commonly used in botanical studies. The general key here given includes the 55 species present in Mérida State whose determination is facilitated through diagrams and illustrations.
