A remarkable new Pitcairnia (Bromeliaceae) species from Peru

Abstract:—A new species of Pitcairnia subgenus Pepinia (Pitcairnioideae) is described and illustrated here. Pitcairnia floresii sp.nov. has been found in the Department San Martín of Peru and is locally abundant.
