Abstract:—In continuity to the taxonomical studies of the brazilian Bromeliaceae, the author describes one new subspecies and five new species, as follows: Aechmea fosteriana subsp. rupicola Leme, A. pseudonudicaulis Leme, Lymania azurea Leme, L. globosa Leme, Tillandsia candida Leme and Vriesea schunkii Leme. A key to the identification of the species of the genus Lymania R.W. Read is also offered.
