Brom.Career: Kees is one of the pioneers with imitating tropical micro habitats in open house terrarium including lizards and poison-arrow frogs, starting over 70 years ago. He is mainly interested in small epiphytic plants, like Orchids, Bromeliads, Aroids, Gesnerias etc. and was one of the first hobyists with a collection of Tillandsia in the Netherlands. His first tropical collecting trip was to Suriname about 50 years ago and several trips followed, especially to the Andean countries like Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.
