Brom.Career:	Started to grow Tillandsia at an age of 12, inspired by my father Kees Gouda. Studied Botany and Computer Sciences at the Utrecht University. Worked as a software engineer (Datacom) for 5 years, before accepting a position as curator at the Utrecht University Botanic Gardens. From 1993 – 2023 he was section Editor Bromeliaceae for Phytotaxa (the largest Plant Taxonomy Journal) and from 2009 up till now a member of the Scientific Review Panel and Webmater of the Bromeliad Society (BSI). Honorary trustee and President of the Bromeliad Contact Group (Dutch-Belgian Bromeliad Society). International Board member of the BSI in different periods and awarded the "Wally Berg Award of Excellence" in 2018. An author of many Bromeliad papers.
