Dyckia scrutor L.B.Sm.  diagnose
plant nearly stemless, slightly over 30 cm high. leaves to 6 cm long, covered with minute appressed scales; sheath suborbicular; blade narrowly triangular, thick, 1 cm wide, laxly serrulate. inflorescence: peduncle slender much exceeding the leaves, glabrous; peduncle bracts erect, narrowly triangular, entire, shorter than the internodes; fertile part simple, very open, few-flowered, glabrous; floral bracts ovate, apiculate, 6 mm long. flowers: pedicel very slender, spreading, to 25 mm long; sepals ovate, obtuse, 8 mm long, slightly shorter than the immature petals, yellow (! cordeiro & simonis); petals green (! cordeiro & simonis). stamens unknown.
