Tillandsia havanensis Jacquin ex Beer  diagnose
plant small. leaves all similar, forming a symmetrical bush, upright, deeply grooved, 8 mm wide, to 30 cm long; peduncle bracts closely enclose the peduncle, upper ones blunt tipped sheath bracts. inflorescence: peduncle begins flat then combines into a much branched inflorescence, erect, stiff, only 4 mm thick, from the ground to the visible enclosing peduncle bracts, 37.5 cm high; branches and main-axis of the inflorescence the same length (8.7 cm), and 3.8 cm width; bracts not covering themselves, somewhat bent outwards towards the blunt tipped end, very flat depressed, 1 cm wide. flowers: sepals prominent between the bracts; corolla over 2,5 cm prominent; genitalia not visible; ( flowers assumed blue).
